Free clone check
Brand protection for Shopify and DTC brands

Find the copycats selling off your brand, and take them down.

We scan for suspected copycats: clone stores using your photos, brand-name listings and impersonation ads. Every hit is opened live and checked, with a dated screenshot. With your signed authorisation, we file the takedowns as your authorised agent and send proof of each removal.

Free. No card. Month-to-month if you continue.

What we look for

Three ways copycats pass themselves off as you

The free check looks for all three and lists what it finds, with a screenshot of each.

Clone stores

A store on a near-identical domain, using your photos and your words, taking orders meant for you.

Brand-name listings

Marketplace listings that use your brand name to sell something that is not yours.

Impersonation ads

Ads posing as your brand that send shoppers to a store you do not run.

The proof

What lands in your inbox

The free clone check is a PDF report like this one. These are real pages from the sample.

Report cover: prepared for Sample Brand, 3 suspected clone stores

P.1The count

How many suspected clone stores, listings and ads we found for your brand, and the date we ran the scan.

Report page 2: summary and the first suspected clone store with its evidence

P.2Each item, with its evidence

A screenshot, the address, a match score and the reasons we flagged it. Everything is labelled suspected.

Report page 5: how a takedown works and what we need from you

P.5What happens next

How a takedown works for each kind of item, and the one authorisation we need from you.

How it works

Four steps. You make one decision: whether to sign.

  1. We scan

We search for copycats: look-alike domains, brand-name listings and impersonation ads, matched against your brand and your official sites.

  2. We check every hit

Every hit is opened live and checked, with a dated screenshot. Genuine resellers and your own stockists are dropped. You only see suspected infringements.

  3. You authorise

You sign one authorisation naming us as your agent. See what it says.

  4. We file and prove removal

We file with each platform and send you the platform's confirmation for every removal.

Getting it right

How we check the work

A takedown on the wrong target can hurt a real seller and expose you to a claim. So the process is built around not getting it wrong.

Every hit checked live

The scan finds candidates. Each one is opened live, compared with your official sites and stockists, and captured with a dated screenshot. Nothing reaches you or a platform on a match score alone.

We never file on genuine resellers

You give us your official domains and authorised stockists. Genuine resale of your products is not infringement, and we do not file on it.

Nothing is filed without your signature

We file only as your authorised agent, only for the marks and copyrights you list, and you can withdraw the authorisation by email at any time.

Wrongful-takedown safety

A notice carries a statement made under penalty of perjury, so each one is checked against the evidence before it goes out, and you see what is filed in your name.

Platforms

Where we file

These are the platforms whose own rules accept a filing from an authorised agent.

  • Web hosts and domain registrars (clone stores)
  • Shopify (clone stores)
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram, ads)
  • Amazon
  • eBay
  • Temu
  • Walmart (you add us in its Brand Portal)
  • Taobao, Tmall, 1688

Each platform has its own form and its own rules, and the platform makes the final decision. For a clone store we file with the platform that hosts it.

Questions

What owners ask

Anything else, write to hello@clonehound.io.

What do you need from me?

Your store URL for the free check. If you continue, we also need your brand name and trademark details, your official domains and authorised stockists, and your signed authorisation.

Which platforms do you file on?

For look-alike stores: the web host, the domain registrar and Shopify where the store runs on it. For listings and ads: Meta (Facebook and Instagram, including ads), Amazon, eBay, Temu, Walmart and the Taobao group, where each platform's own rules accept a filing from an authorised agent. Walmart needs you to add us in its Brand Portal.

How fast do you file?

First filings within 2 business days of your signed authorisation. How quickly a platform acts after that is the platform's call, and we send you its confirmation when it does.

What if a hit turns out to be a genuine reseller?

We drop it. Every hit is checked against the official domains and stockists you give us, and genuine resale is never filed on. If you tell us a seller is authorised, they go on your list.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Month-to-month. Cancel any time, no annual contract, no lock-in. Free re-file if a removed item comes back within 30 days. Pay on removal has no monthly fee to cancel. The details are on the refunds page.

What counts as a removal?

A listing, ad or store the platform has taken down or disabled after our filing, and we have the platform's confirmation to show you. A filing that is still pending, or that the platform rejects, is not a removal and is not charged on the pay-on-removal plan.

Do you guarantee removal?

No. The platform decides, not us. What we promise is every hit is checked live, we file properly and promptly, and you only pay for removals we can show you.

How do you find them?

We search for copycats: domains that resemble yours, brand-name listings on marketplaces and impersonation ads, then we open each result live and check it. We call everything "suspected" until you have seen the evidence and signed off.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. Authorisation is a short document, there is no annual term, and you can withdraw it by email whenever you like. Read what it says.
